Happy Halloween!

 Wolfing seemed peaceful. Everyone was getting along. Even though the occasional scuffle among pack members occurred, they were happy and content. Another regular day in October rolled around and the pack members were lounging around the different parts of their vast territory when they noticed something was different. A few wolves who were chattering happily outside Huddle House stopped abruptly and perked up. Their gazes swept over the house, a chill went down their spines as last year’s spookiness settled over the room. Everything became darker and it was harder to see. Smoke emitted from the house as the ghosts who had occupied the room two Halloween’s ago appeared with grins on their transparent faces.
 “Leave, this place now belongs to us,” the cat ghost breathed. Her voice was distinctly female, but echoed around the room with a strange power that made the wolves’ hackles rise.
 The wolves only stared before one brave wolf stepped forward and laughed, “What are you going to do us?” he laughed, trying to shake his fear.
 The others were nervous, but eventually they were convinced by the laughing wolf and joined in. A cat? Taking their land? The thought was ridiculous.
 The dog ghost growled in dismay, “This isn’t a request, our mistress has already taken large parts of your territory into her possession!” he threatened.
 Just then a few other wolves came running, panting into view, “Howling Peaks is gone!” the closest wolf called out in shock.
 “Emerald Hills is gone too!” another wolf shouted.
 “Northern Lights has disappeared,” a smaller wolf whispered with tears in her eyes.
 One of Wolfing’s fastest wolves came charging into the room, “Six parts of our land has evaporated! Savannah Plains, Howling Peaks, Emerald Hills, Shallow Creek, Vocal Valley, and Northern Lights!” he announced while trying to catch his breath.
 The listening wolves were shocked into a few seconds of silence before they began murmuring to each other, one theory wilder than the next.
 As the wolves milled amongst themselves, discussing what was happening, the ghosts settled around the room and refused to move. They had faith in their new mistress.
 Suddenly, the Wolfing Leaders stepped into the room, their looks were solemn, and their presence washed over the confused wolves as they fell silent.
 Kodi stepped forward, “A witch is threatening Wolfing.” His voice was loud and clear, “Her presence has infested every corner of our land, every room bear signs of her intrusion into our home, and our disappeared rooms will not return unless we work together to assemble the pieces of our scattered territory,” he continued.
 Cries broke out among the pack, “What does that mean?”, “How do we fix it?”, “Is Wolfing going to disappear forever?”, “What about the rest of the territory?”
 “Be quiet, and we’ll explain!” one of the Betas called and silence fell once more.
 “Our rooms will return if we can salvage all the pieces, but if we cannot find them all in the week preceding and following Hallows Eve, Wolfing may never be the same.” Kodi paused to let these words sink in, “We must work together as a team to overthrow the witch and save our home as well as ourselves. Some of the poor wolves who were in the scattered rooms have gone. Unnatural ghost and skeleton wolves have taken their place. If we do not succeed, we will all eventually become trapped skeleton and ghost wolves. Forever.”
 An eerie silence followed this announcement.
 “Together!” The Betas called.
 “Together!” The Gammas cheered.
 “Let’s do this!” The Sentinels agreed.
 “As a pack!” Kodi boomed, before he turned his head towards the sky and howled.
 The power of the pack’s howls could be heard across all of Wolfing’s shadowed land.

 In the distance, a witch who was hiding out of sight narrowed her eyes as the united and hopeful howls reached her ears. She would not be beaten easily.

Here’s what we have to do: All users of Wolfing will have to band together to collect a certain number of pieces of each missing room to make them re-appear. Each room has a unique piece that needs collecting (picture below). Once we have collected enough pieces for a room, it will be restored as it was. A counter for how many pieces we have collectively is viewable underneath each faded room, but you can view how many you’ve collected too through your Halloween room pieces collection. Each piece that appears can only be collected once, but many pieces will keep appearing until all 1000 pieces for a particular room can be found, so better get to work! This is a group effort, Wolfies!
