Update: hey everyone I forgot to send some updates other than what I had said to a few PMs. So here is what I can tell you:
My city really dodged a bullet per say. The worst we had was broken road signs, regular signs on businesses tore up, and some fences blown over (included mine). Power lines were being blown into each other so much they started sparking according a few people I know who chose to ride the storm out. Power was out for quite a while in some places. I would say the most my city got was from a Cat 1 storm. We DID get hit but from the weaker side. That being said... 20 minutes away... My band mate in a suburb that was forced to leave said he lost a lot of his trees and his power is still out even now. My ex evacuated from a town further north and I haven't heard from her since. The town not far from her's was wrecked up BIG time as it got the full blunt of the impact. The town I would say had been hit the hardest was Rockport, TX. After the impact on the area, the storm made its way up north and impacted Houston and that area. The flooding has been said to be the worst flooding in... ever. I know it has been a week, but please keep everyone impacted by the storm in your thoughts and in your prayers.
To my Houston friends, I hope yall are ok and look forward to hearing from you soon. I know it got bad over there.

For those who are wondering.... I am ok. I had to evacuate my home on the Texas coast last night. The hurricane is about to make landfall as I type this. I still have friends and family still in the area, but I am trying to not worry about it so much.
