Space pandas travel through space at high speeds. From a distance, it looks like a meteor shooting through space, but it is merely just a space panda rocketing to some planet.
Because of their meteor-like effect, space pandas are often confused as space terrorists as, upon landing, they destroy a lot of things and become a general annoyance. However, space pandas are perfectly fine, and will not destroy any planet.
